Investing in Lasting Change
After your investment...

Solution Teams allocate Community Campaign dollars to programs focusing on the underlying causes of the issues that matter most in Eau Claire County. These three Focus Areas, supported by the Community Assessment study, are as follows:

Successful Children & Youth A child’s success begins long before they enter kindergarten. United Way’s vision for successful children is that all kids enter school ready to learn. That means being sure every child has access to great early learning opportunities and providing an environment which nurtures their abilities. Beyond meeting basic needs, children need opportunities to thrive.

Strong Families & IndividualsBecoming a strong family doesn’t happen overnight, but they may need a night of shelter. United Way wants to ensure that beyond the quick fix, people become financially stable by learning the skills and having the support systems necessary to succeed on their own.

Total Health & Well-BeingBeing a healthy community means far more than just the physical health of its citizens. People need access to care, advocacy for services, and the ability to make healthy choices about their lives. United Way’s partners work to educate the public, advocate for and expand the services available for total well-being.

I am a client at Positive Avenues. I have been coming here on a daily basis since I moved to Eau Claire, WI. When I came to town, I didn’t know anyone and had no support, someone told me about Positive Avenues.

Positive Avenues is very important to the people who use the services. It is a place where people with mental illness can come and be with their peers in a safe and supportive environment, staff that are very caring and attentive to the needs of the clients. Without this program, there would be a lot of displaced people. I want to thank you.
